What Does It Teach?
Why just perform experiments with young scientists when you can engage them? The experiments in the Steve Spangler Book Set are aimed at getting kids to touch, feel, play, and experience the wonders of science. We want you and your kids to come away from the hands-on projects and demonstrations contained in these books wanting more. Together, we’ll make life long learners.
Science Fair Connection:
The Spangler Book Set is amazing: breathtaking pictures, step-by-step instructions, and in-depth explanations! All you have to do is pick an experiment and you’ve got your science fair project all wrapped up, right? Well‚ not exactly. The experiments in the books are great starting points, but to make an awesome science fair project you need to identify a variable. A variable is a factor in your experiment that you can change or alter. Depending on which experiment you choose as the basis for your project, you should have plenty of options. Just remember, once you identify your variable, you must keep the rest of the factors in your experiment the same.
