Projecting the Sun, Revealing the Invisible, Floating on Air, Creating Solar Art
With this kit, you’ll be studying the “local sky” near Earth but you’ll use simple lab materials and supplies to make your discoveries
The sun makes it possible for us to survive on Earth. The activities in this kit range from testing sunscreen to flying an enormous 25-foot (8 m) Solar Bag. There are ordinary white beads that become intensely colorful to reveal the sun’s harmful UV light we can’t see. There are activities that showcase the sun to make “objects d’art” using Sun-sensitive materials. It’s summer sun-time well spent anytime of the year. Grab the sunscreen and a hat and head outside, if it is currently summer where you live. Recommended for children ages 6 and up with adult supervision.
Create an unforgettable learning experience for both you and your child
This STEM Science Kit includes all the materials you need to conduct all 5 experiments, suggestions for take-it-further activities and challenges for 1-4 children per kit. You’ll also receive two activity guides! The young scientist guide has step-by-step instructions for each lab, along with questions, and more challenges. The adult helper gets a guide including all the science behind the labs.
Make some Science Fair Connections
The take-it-further challenges featured throughout the kit are great starting points for any science fair project. With help and guidance from the adult science helper, it will be easy to focus in on any one of the experiments and create a great science fair project. Come up with your own variable to test and go claim that first place prize!
